Energy Trust LLC - Oil and Gas Private Equity Funds



	The principals of Energy Trust LLC manage two oil and gas private equity funds, Energy Trust Partners LP and Energy Trust Partners II LP (together, the "Energy Trust Partners funds"), with aggregate commitments of $415 million. These funds focus on the upstream sector of the oil and gas business, and seek to invest with experienced management teams with proven records of success in exploration, development, and property acquisitions. In addition to the Energy Trust Partners funds, the Company serves as an investment manager for a number of institutional clients, with mandates to make direct oil and gas investments. Currently, total assets under management held in separate accounts exceed $900 million. Most of these investments are in the form of passive "net profits interests". Energy Trust LLC was formed in January 2001 as the result of a management buyout of the institutional oil and gas investment management business of UBS Asset Management. Since the inception of this business in late 1981 at Chase Investors Management Corporation, the investment team has originated and managed in excess of $2.5 billion of energy investments, including both direct investments in oil and gas assets and participations in energy private equity funds.
